The Japanese Bantam Club of Australia Inc has been advised that a member of the club, has been robbed of the following Japanese Bantam stock, 45 mostly young birds breed late last year 2010 and early this year, rare colour’s black tailed buff, brown red, self blues, and blacks also their cages.
NSW Police are investigating the matter therefore, anyone being offered this rare stock for sale, please let us know.
Please advise if you are offered any of these colour’s or you may know of someone who has some information that may assist the police.
Please also be aware that many birds have been lost this year in the floods in a few states and unfortunately there is a rise in the number of birds being stolen.
As we have advised earlier do not take strangers to look at your flocks, if you are selling stock have that stock separate or meet people at a separate location, and please keep all rare and not so rare birds in locked cages or sheds. Hon Secretary Japanese Bantam Club of Australia.

It is sad to think that two more thefts have taken place. One included 30 odd stock of Birchen and Greys breeding stock, show stock and last season young stock. Also 6 black tailed white pullets from another venue. | |
